NOTW: Flowers! Flowers! Flowers!

After a long long long time, I finally did my nails. During the school year, I will honestly say I painted my nails about five times or even less. I just don't have the time and when I did, I ended up doing other things.

Now during vacation, it took me a whole week to finally convince my lazy self to get up and start fixing my nails. They really needed help ASAP. I decided to go with the whole spring/summer theme and explore through my nail polishes. The results are simple but I personally really like them. Unfortunately, the tips of my nails got a little ruined after I washed a few dishes, etc.

Sorry for the mess around my thumb. I forgot to clean it up.

 Product used:
Bath & Body Works Metallic Purple
NutraNails Green Tea Growth Treatment
Sally Hansens Ultra Shield
Kiss Nail Art Stickers

Well that is all for tonight, kind of tired now. I need to start going to sleep earlier and stop watching my kdramas and movies until 4am. Not such a good idea. :D...Either way, I have  a few ideas for future posts. Updates to come soon....please follow, like, and comment.

OOTD: "Life is not about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself."

Summer vacation is finally here and I am loving it. I do not have much to do lately (until I start working soon), so I have been really enjoying sleeping in, the free time, and not stressing at all. Woot Woot!

I haven't done much lately, so I have had the opportunity to dress up more and actually take care of my body and skin. For some reason, I am really liking the whole tuck-in shirt kind of style, so that inspired me for this outfit.

OOTD: "Learn from yesterday, Live for today, Hope for tomorrow"

Finally school is done and summer vacation is here. I honestly am so happy school is over with. I went through a lot mentally, physically, and emotionally things this school year. I think at one point in college, you start try to find your true identity and who you are in life. This past academic year, I started to look for who I am as a person who is maturing into a woman. Last summer I lost a decent amount of weight, which  I was very proud of but unfortunately I gained some weight during the school year. That is one thing that is quite disappointing to me. Also, being away from family I had to personally make the effort of maintaining my culture and language, which can be quite difficult in the college atmosphere.

I also had problems with the whole dating field. Truthfully I lack experience and my semi-shy personality can really hold me back in finding or getting to know a guy I like. This recent academic school year, made me realize what guys find "attractive" in a woman, and how to react to this. I am not going to change who I am, to seem "attractive" but I do not want to seem as a boring girl who doesn't know how to have some fun in life. One of the biggest reasons why I am extremely happy to be on vacation, is that I can give myself some time to think about who I truly am and what makes me happy without the influence of others' thoughts.

Back to the point of this post, last couple of weeks of school I had a couple presentations and obviously finals. I decided to dress up and have some fun with my presentation outfit which consisted of  a knee-length high waisted nautical skirt, black chiffon top, pinkish thin waist belt, and black wedges.

Hope you like!

Pre-Summer Haul

Earlier this month, my friend Karma and I went on a small shopping trip to the mall for both work and casual clothes. Soon enough, I will be working full-time during the summer and I was hoping for some nice work clothes. I found a few cover-ups that could work perfectly for air condition building and for the hot summer weather. I also was able to find a nice gray v-neck tshirt at Gap for such an affordable price. My intention was to find pieces that I can mix n' match well with accessories for both work and casual. Overall, I enjoyed the beautiful sunny day shopping with my friend.

OOTD: "Take a chance, you never know what might happen"

Lately the weather has been better than usual. Warmer weather are occurring more often and summer vacation is almost here. Unfortunately, next week is finals week. Oh well....Luckily, my friend Karma and I decided to go shopping as part of our fun weekend and just to relax.

Although it was quite sunny that day, it was still a little chilly. So I decided to wear a dress (that has a lace back) under a white cover-up.

OOTD: "We all strive to reach perfection, and yet it is the little flaws of a person that we find so attractive."

Although the weather has been more on the chilly side, I am really enjoying this weekend. One of my closes friends has return from her home-country and we got to catch up a lot today. We updated each other on pretty much every single thing, even though we skyped about two weeks ago. We seemed such lay back college students by drinking tea, listening to guitar covers, talking, and teaching each other yoga movements. Oh and stuffing our faces with college "Mexican" food for dinner. lol.

It is honestly really nice to just lay back and chill. College is known for being a phase of hardcore studying and partying, but lately I've enjoyed having girls' nights with my friends.

While the weather was warm, I enjoyed taking pictures besides the magnolia trees.

Dress: T.J. Maxx
Bead Bag: given as a gift

As for my quote, I was thinking about when you like someone, you become fond of their flaws. You might like them at first for their looks and obviously their personality, but then you start noticing their flaws. You might be irritated once in a while or want things to be different, but then you realize that these flaws are what make this person who they are. Flaws are what makes you unique. Although, some flaws are difficult to handle, when you really like someone you start to believe that without these flaws the person you like will not be who they are. What do you think about this? Do you believe that flaws are something that we find more attractive in a person than perfection?

OOTD: "Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and think of what could go right!"

This past week my best friend and I have been talking a lot about guys. Its funny how everytime you like someone, you think of everything that could go wrong but not the positive aspects. Or if that certain guy does not talk to you, you think you might have done something wrong and blame yourself. Guys are like sweets, too much of it will make you overindulge and sick, while having too little will make you want more.

Luckily, we have our best friends and good friends to help each other when we are going crazy, not in the literal term (I hope).

It is always nice to step out of college atmosphere and thoughts of guys once in a while. My friend and I decided to go to the beach. It was nice break from all the stress.

Fortunately, I was able to take pictures of my outfit.
